Meet Kyle Baird

My name is Kyle Baird, and I’m one of the newest interns here at the Harrison Center. I was hired primarily to write and create content for the Harrison Center, whether that be pieces about artists, shows, upcoming events, or happenings at the Center, but I am excited to contribute wherever I am needed outside of writing as well. While I am new to both Indianapolis and the Harrison Center, I am excited to work in a capacity where I can make a purposeful impact on the community while also learning and developing on a personal level. I love what the Harrison Center is doing in the city, and am looking forward to being a part of it!

I was born and raised in Madison, WI, as the youngest of 3 siblings, and didn’t find my way to Indiana until after I graduated from high school and moved here to go to college at Taylor University in Upland, IN, where I eventually received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in 2017. I grew to appreciate and love Indiana during my time at Taylor, and was glad when an opportunity arose to come to Indianapolis this past fall. Since moving here, I have felt a growing desire to find an outlet for my skills and abilities that can provide a meaningful, creative, and constructive influence on the community, and I am so happy to be working with the Harrison Center as I feel it will afford me the space to do just that. I believe this experience will provide ample opportunity for growth and learning from those around me, and I’m eager to get started!
