Blossoms in Bloom

For the month of April, Hank & Dolly's Gallery is exhibiting Blossoms in Bloom by Sharon Bonner, a collection of vibrant floral paintings bursting with color and movement.

As nature slowly wakes up from the sleep of winter, Sharon Bonner's blossoms are a beautiful and timely invitation to embrace the season of spring. Her paintings feature bright, eye-catching colors and soft organic shapes and lines, highlighting the delicate yet vibrant beauty of flowers. Muted backgrounds contrast with detailed blooms and meandering leaves, giving a whimsical and playful feel to each piece.

Throughout her art, Bonner experiments with unique shapes and delightfully contrasting colors and patterns. Some pieces are clean and dramatic, emphasizing the twists and turns of plant life against calming teal or peach backgrounds, while others are a joyful explosion of curling leaves and cascading blossoms. Each painting reveals the character of the plant, from dignified white peonies to wild botanical leaves and blooms, and celebrates the lively beauty of flowers.

Based in Indianapolis, Sharon Bonner has been painting blossoms since 2013. About her art, she says, "I have always wanted to elicit joy through my paintings." Her vivid floral artwork emphasizes the beauty of nature and invites viewers to delight in the vibrant colors of springtime.

Blossoms in Bloom is open to the public anytime during the month of April within our posted gallery hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The works can also be viewed and purchased on our online gallery through May.
