Meet Judah Allen

My name's Judah Allen, and I’m a senior at Indiana University Bloomington studying Arts Management with minors in German and Music. This summer, I am the Arts Administration intern. I was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, and grew up surrounded by the arts in an artistic family. I often did homework beside my mom, who was painting murals throughout the town, and occasionally sat in with my dad's Tom Petty cover band on the drums. My favorite musicians include The Allman Brothers, Jason Isbell, Bob Dylan, and John Coltrane.

Initially, I pursued an Arts Management degree, hoping to work in the music industry. However, through my program, I have become increasingly interested and passionate about the Nonprofit world and community engagement. The mission-centric organization offers a value-rich alternative to pursuing marginal profit increases as a priority. The Harrison Center's mission of seeking to be a catalyst for renewal inspires me. Looking towards the future, I aspire to contribute meaningfully to the betterment of my community throughout my career.

I am excited to be at the Harrison Center this summer, to learn, to put my coursework into practice, and to contribute to a creative, meaningful, community-focused arts organization.
