Welcome, Selah!

Hi, I’m Selah Henry. I’m interning at the Harrison Center this summer. I am 16 and I go to Fishers High School. The reason why I know about the Harrison Center is that my grandma is a Greatriarch. Her name is Aster Bekele and she is the director of the Felege Hiywot Center. I also heard about the experience of interning from family friends.

I like to knit, draw, crochet, and create digital art. I’m also really interested in therapy and healing. I enjoy connecting with the Greatriarchs and elders in the community because it’s a good way to connect with history. This summer, I'm making digital and chalk art about stories from the Greatriarchs and helping another intern, Taylor, crochet porching blankets.
