Yarn Graffiti Gang
Bringing communities together through fiber art.
The Yarn Graffiti Gang is a welcoming yarn group that brings together artists and volunteers. With their vibrant fiber art installations, the group inspires appreciation for arts and culture within our community. The group also extends its creativity to community service, creating items like crocheted hats for local schools and other charitable projects.
Whether you're experienced at yarn work or have never picked up a hook or needle, you're invited to join our free weekly meetings. All experience levels are welcome, and our community-focused projects provide opportunities to learn new skills while connecting with fellow crochet, knit, and yarn artists.
The group's collaborative projects beautify our neighborhoods and create touchpoints for connection, proving that art-making is just as much about the relationships we build as the works we create.
Weekly on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
Meet the Founder
Led by Linda Belton, a Harrison Center Greatriarch and artist, the Yarn Graffiti Gang transforms simple yarn into powerful storytelling.
Linda's crochet artwork, Lula Hilliard, featured in the Polklore Micro-Museum, commemorates a story of familial loss and demonstrates the emotional depth that fiber art can convey. You can also find Linda at First Fridays, where she shares and sells her crochet work with the community.
