Stephanie Spay

Stephanie Spay is an award winning artist. She approaches her paintings with an ever evolving exploration of objects, interiors and the human form through the manipulation of shape, tone, and color. Her world around her provides endless inspiration from life at home, her two sons, their childhood and adolescence, her own changing and evolving image, and the interiors and spaces she enters that feed her imagination.

“I am always observing, so I sometimes can experience the same room, object, or person in a completely different way, maybe only because the season has turned, the light has shifted, or I have changed. I find that there is potential all around me. Sometimes it’s just a matter of choosing where to look. My life offers a constant kaleidoscope of inspiration, although I have lived in the same town all my life. Most of all, I try to be truthful and authentic in my paintings, painting what moves me.”
