Meet the Intern Behind Bloombox 2026
When Herron High School senior Kieron Bishop took on the role of coordinating the Harrison Center's 25th annual Bloombox Festival, he embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm. He was eager to combine his passion for music with event coordination.
As part of the Harrison Center's Cultural Entrepreneur Initiative, Bishop spent the past eight months leading meetings, collaborating with the Bloombox Board, contacting vendors, and finalizing band contracts for one of Indianapolis's most beloved free community festivals.
“As a life-long music enjoyer and drummer, I knew Bloombox would be a project I’d love to take on. I’m very excited and grateful to be a Bloombox coordinator this year.
I’ve really enjoyed getting to work with our board members and dive deeper into the many amazing local artists of Indianapolis. Working on Bloombox has done so much to elevate my capabilities and musical profile, and I hope for many more amazing opportunities to come!” remarks Bishop.
