Meet Vivian

Hi! My name is Vivian, and I am so excited to be interning at the Harrison Center! I'm currently a junior at Herron High School, and have recently taken on the roles of stage manager and historian for our fall production of Urinetown, and will be the Hair and Makeup Designer for the Thespian All-State show, Middletown.

My dad is a pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian, so even though I haven't made it to nearly as many First Fridays as I'd like, the Harrison Center has been forming my love of art since before I could walk. I hope to pursue a career in arts administration, and it would be my dream to work for a large art museum like Newfields or a large theatre like Indiana Repertory Theatre. I cannot wait to become a more connected part of this community, and to learn more about exactly what goes into running a place as fantastic as the Harrison Center.

When I'm not interning, my favorite class is Repertory Theatre (big surprise), and I also love reading, writing, playing with my dog, and taking walks. As for some additional fun facts, my favorite author is Indianapolis dweller John Green, my favorite book is The Anthropocene Reviewed (by John Green), and my favorite piece by an artist at the Harrison Center is actually an artwork Kyle Ragsdale gifted my parents. Sadly, I don't have a favorite color. I appreciate them all too much. I hope to stick around the Harrison Center continuing into my senior year, and am so excited to contribute to such a cornerstone of the downtown community!
