For the months of March and April, the Underground Gallery is hosting several artists whose work celebrates the solar eclipse that will be occurring on April 8, 2024.
One of the featured artists, Henry Dean, also has a sculpture installation outside the Harrison Center titled “Now and Then / Indianapolis” that is one of six placed along the “path of totality” from Maine to Texas. His project celebrates the solar eclipse– From the anticipation of this cosmic event to experiencing its passing, and as a memory marker once it is over. Learn more on our blog.
The show can be viewed anytime during the months of March and April in the Underground Gallery during Gallery Hours: Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The works can also be viewed and purchased on our online gallery. |

| Get Involved by Volunteering |
As a non-profit arts and community organization, the Harrison Center depends on our community to help us in our mission. Join us in addressing community problems with cultural solutions by volunteering!
Volunteering at the annual Bloombox Festival and monthly First Fridays are a great way to get involved with the Harrison Center and make a difference in your community. At the Bloombox Festival, volunteers help set up and take down the event, assist with beer sales, and help visitors navigate the festival. During First Fridays, volunteers help with gallery openings, greet visitors, and assist with various tasks throughout the evening. It's a fun and rewarding way to support the arts and contribute to the community.

Join us in welcoming Harrison Center intern Alex Cuellar, a senior at Herron High School. Alex plans to attend the University of Glasgow in Scotland to study Art History and Archaeology, hoping to one day find a career in historic preservation.
“My internship at the Harrison Center has been an amazing part of my journey and has given me a new sense of community unlike anything I’ve ever felt. Outside of school, I enjoy making art, so spending time in a place filled with so many great talents has inspired my creativity.” - Alex |
