Through this series of paintings, Rush captures the ephemeral landscapes encountered through the lens of a midwestern bicycle commuter. This collection serves as a visual ode to the rhythm of life on two wheels, exploring the often overlooked beauty and dynamic shifts in scenery found within the daily commute, inviting viewers into a world of transient moments magnified on canvas. | Celebrate the Indiana State Fair |
The Harrison Center is partnering with Indiana State Fair. Last week, 16 Greatriarchs and six fellows/interns attended the Fair together. They viewed the Greatriarch art exhibit at the Indiana Arts Building, participated in a Storytelling Drawing session, visited the animals and enjoyed food and performances. A highlight was being featured in the State Fair parade, wearing purple Greatriarch sashes. |

Hey! My name is Destiny Tims. I'm a video summer intern at the Harrison Center. I attend Ivy Tech Community College, where I study Visual Communications.
I know videography will be part of my future. Since I was a kid, I always recorded something, creating memories for myself and others. Growing up, I watched a lot of movies and YouTube videos, and I always knew I wanted to be a part of that, making people laugh, smile, and even think.
There was never a time when I felt a video couldn't make someone feel. When I'm behind a camera, I think about how many people I could make smile just by showing them a video. I want my work to always make a difference in someone's life, whether it's the person I made the video for, someone watching me create the video, or even someone coming across the video. |

Willard Johnson’s exhibition in the Speck Gallery is an immersive journey through the realms of dreams and memories. Having lived in seven countries by adulthood, Johnson's unique experiences blend seamlessly into his artwork, creating a rich tapestry of cultural and personal history. His work captures the essence of fleeting connections, with people crossing paths in metaphorical train stations—symbolic of life's transient interactions. Each painting begins with a Google Earth Street View image as a digital anchor to his past geographies and evolves through meticulous layers of revisions to encapsulate the fluid nature of memory.
