Join the Porch Party Movement! |
It’s time to fire up the grill, string up some lights, and invite your neighbors—Porch Party season is officially on! Porching is all about celebrating community, creativity, and Indianapolis spirit right in your neighborhood. It’s simple: Choose a day, invite friends and neighbors, prepare food and drinks, and connect to build stronger bonds in your community.
Document and send photos of your porch parties to info@harrisoncenter.org for a chance to be featured on our social media and win a Harrison Center gift certificate toward the purchase of original art!

For the month of April, the Gallery Annex will feature Here, the latest series of oil paintings by Jason Bailey. In this body of work, Bailey highlights overlooked moments and places, drawing attention to the everyday scenes we often miss. His process mirrors his subject matter—intuitive and unplanned, guided by light rather than intention. Through this approach, Bailey captures the beauty, ugliness, and quiet ambiguity of daily life. | 48 Hour Residency with Nabil Ince |
Nabil Ince, also know as Seaux Chill, wrote an original song in conversation with artist Shamira Wilson and her vibrant mural in progress on the side of the Polklore building—keep an eye out for it this week!
"Talking with Shamira revealed how deep attention—like noticing a chicory plant on a walk—can uncover stories of heritage, much like her art and my song honor the roots of Martindale-Brightwood."
Listen to the song and read more about his process.
