John(ny) McKee

McKee, a life long Hoosier, grew up in Miami County (Bunker Hill).  He earned his photography degree (BFA) from Herron School of Art in ’97, and has been showing work and teaching art ever since.  He is currently working on a series of landscapes, both night time and day time, that ask questions of negligibility.  Often using a simple flat horizon that is reminiscent of northern Indiana, and painting from memory, these paintings have a quiet, contemplative feel.
