Follow Kenn.Wav's 48-Hour Residency |
It was a delight to hear from Kenn.Wav this past week as he reflected on his 48-Hour Residency at the Harrison Center! Our 48-Hour Residency Program offers artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives of all kinds the opportunity to explore new ideas, share their talents, and connect with the community.
An Indianapolis-based pianist, producer, and musician, Kenn.Wav is known for his soulful soundscapes, blending alternative R&B, soul, and layered keys. He is one of the featured artists in the 30th anniversary season of Indy’s Art & Soul program.
We were honored to have him perform at Polk’s first porch party of the summer. You can catch another live performance this upcoming First Friday on June 5th from 6–9pm on the Sky Deck! Click to listen to the song created during this residency.
Thank you to the Indy Arts Council Art & Soul program for making this possible. |
From Indiana to Paris: An Album is Born |
It was a joyous celebration of community and music across continents as we commemorated the release of Pascal Glock’s album, Martindale-Brightwood: Live in Paris, this past Friday. Songs rooted in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood and inspired by real neighbors were reimagined into a beautiful live concert in Paris for an album very near and dear to our hearts. Performed alongside the Miss Pearl Mass Choir, the project celebrates the stories, faith, resilience, and creativity of the community through original folk and gospel music.
Written during Pascal's 2025 residency at the Harrison Center, the songs were inspired by conversations with neighborhood elders and longtime residents whose stories shaped the heart of the album. More than music, this release is a testament to the power of storytelling.
Stay tuned for more music, future performances, and an upcoming Martindale-Brightwood: Indiana to Paris documentary. Bravo, Pascal!

"I am a communication major at The University of Indianapolis with a concentration in media.
Last summer, I visited the Harrison Center for the Bloombox Festival and fell in love with the space and the organization's focus! Right now, I am the Social Media Manager for The University of Indianapolis' newspaper, The Reflector... I have been developing my skills, my craft, and my photography style, and I now capture photos for clients.
I am so excited and appreciative of this opportunity, and I cannot wait to see how I grow throughout this internship!" Read the rest of Willa's blog here. |
