Meet Chace

Born and raised in Avon, Indiana, Chace Bailey (20) is a multifaceted creative, taking on the roles of a painter, a digital designer, and a content creator all in one. Currently, she attends the illustrious Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, as a rising third-year Psychology major and Spanish minor. She aspires to become an Art Therapist, blending creative expression with psychological counseling to bypass limitations presented in the traditional structure of talk therapy.

What brought her to this internship at the Harrison Center was her desire to strive to do better not only for her current self but also for her future self. Chace sees this opportunity as a way to learn more about the humanitarian side of art and to cultivate lifelong connections based on a common love and desire to help others. She finds that this opportunity is the first of many and is delighted to be in such an impactful space.

Of her many passions, her favorite is the ability to connect with people through paint and canvas. Chace views art as an invitation to connect and self-introspect. For her, all art: visual, performing, and digital, is necessary for the continuation of humanity. She is passionate about sparking societal change, fostering empathy, and promoting mental wellness through the beauty of colors and shapes.

During her time at the Harrison Center, Chace hopes to learn the importance of providing individuals with a platform to experiment, grow, and develop various artistic skills for her own personal and professional portfolio.
