January 2016: New Year's Day

The Harrison Center for the Arts will be open on First Friday, January 1, 2016 and ready to ring in the new year with five new exhibits. The Harrison Gallery features You Are Here, by Flatland Kitchen (Eric & Rebekah Nolan) with additional new work by Rebekah Nolan.

The City Gallery, which features place-based work that celebrates urban Indy, presents No Place, new work by Johnny McKee. Gallery No. 2 welcomes the Mother Artist Project, A Collaboration, with work by mother artists and their children. Participating artists include Lauren Ditchley, Christina Hollering, Candice Hartsough McDonald, Kat Silver and Erin Huber. Anya Pany’s Visual Storytelling: Ink, Paint and Wondrous Tales will be on display in the Gallery Annex. In Hank & Dolly’s Gallery, 4th Collective, work by Herron School of Art + Design printmaking students Alexandra Bogan, Arman Dogruyol, Andrea Merrill and Taylor Leigh Wright.

Attendees who are looking to start the year with more physical activity can try out the human hamster balls in the Harrison Center gymnasium!

The work hangs through January 29.
